Social media have proven to affect every aspect of life including the political discourse. Unlike other
platforms, Twitter is apparently the favorite for politicians .Lately, Trump, the 45th president of the United
States has become the most controversial politician and leader of state due to his heavy use of Twitter.
Unfortunately, his rhetoric has been characterized by a high rise of "hate speech" against Muslims. This thesis
addresses the impact of President Donald Trump’s hate speech on Muslims in the United States and how this
has a ripple effect on their life. Through a critical discourse analysis ,This study will decode his ideology and
layers of hate in a number of selected islamophobic tweets .It also addresses the potential impact of Trump'
such anti-Muslim rhetoric on this minority group .The ultimate aim of this study is drawing the link between
hatred content about Muslims and the increasing level of hate crimes , social abuse ,discrimination that took
place during the Trump age, in addition to the discriminatory polices such as the travel ban and the new
immigration policies .
