Abstract
شهدت تلمسان تطورا سياسيا وعمرانيا مهما خلال العصور الوسطى، حيث أصبحت جزءا من الدولة الاسلامية ،في عهد المرابطين أصبحت مركزا سياسيا بارزا وشهدت تطورا في البنية التحتية.ثم واصل الموحدون تعزيز دور تلمسان ،وفي العهد الزياني بلغت أوج إزدهارها فيها بنيت المدارس والمساجد والمكتبات .تميزت تلمسان بالهندسة المعمارية الإسلامية لذلك كانت تلمسان لها موقع إستراتيجي وأهمية كبيرة في المنطقة.

Résumé:
Tlemcen a connu un développement politique et urbain important au Moyen Âge. Elle est devenue partie intégrante de l'État islamique sous les Almoravides et est devenue un centre politique de premier plan et a été témoin du développement des infrastructures. Les Almohades continuent alors de renforcer le rôle de Tlemcen et, sous l'ère zayyanide, elle atteint son apogée de prospérité. Des écoles, des mosquées et des bibliothèques ont été construites. Tlemcen se distinguait par son architecture islamique et possédait une situation stratégique et une grande importance dans la région.

Summary:
Tlemcen witnessed significant political and urban development during the middle Ages. It became part of the Islamic state under the Almoravids and became a prominent political center and witnessed infrastructure development. The Almohads then continued to strengthen Tlemcen's role, and during the Zayyanid era, it reached its peak of prosperity. Schools, mosques, and libraries were built. Tlemcen was distinguished by the Islamic architecture and had a strategic location and great importance in the region.
