Item Open Access Fostering EFL Learners’ Motivation Through Project -based Design-The case of First Year University of Msila.(UNIVERSITY MOHAMED BOUDIAF - M’SILA, 2023-07) Boudrissa Ilyas, BenkhiatAhlemAbstract This study investigates the effectiveness of project-based design in fostering motivation among EFL (English as a Foreign Language) learners. The research explores the role of project-based learning approaches in creating an engaging and dynamic classroom environment that motivates students to actively participate and take ownership of their learning. The findings reveal that project-based design promotes critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, and creativity among learners. By incorporating authentic and meaningful tasks into the curriculum, students are motivated to connect with real-world contexts and showcase their knowledge and skills. The study highlights the positive impact of project-based design on learners' intrinsic motivation, leading to increased engagement, perseverance, and a sense of achievement. The study used a descriptive and mixed method approach where quantitative and qualitative methods are used. Two questionnaires one for students and the other for students were also used. Data collected was randomly selected, coded then analyzed. Researchers recommended that successful implementation requires careful planning, appropriate scaffolding, and ongoing support from educators and teachers .
