    The twenty-first centuries have witnessed the efflorescence and development of what is generally known as “identity politics.” This advancement has radically impacted longstanding, traditional American political community and national identity .This study aims to explore identity politics and to determine its impact on American politics especially within the Democratic Party, based on original and valuable works of research and other types of studies. Finally, our research argued that Identity politics is essential not just as a measure of liberal principles that provide social equality for marginalized groups, but liberals must also adapt to this new source of political energy in order to fight back
