    ABSTRACT This dissertation it examine The Cultural Representation of Iraq War (2003) It aims to explain, and analyze the cultural representation of the Iraq invasion (2003) in media, and It include both Iraq war in media representation and Hollywood movies , novels whereas The first chapter we deal with the historical background of the war, it elaborates the causes and results of the war then we talks about the theories of representation and its influence on shaping the public opinion perceptions as culturelism and structuralism theories and how it depicts the war’s events Then, this chapter focuses on the way that media represents the war or how it distorted in the cultural product that influence the public opinion as well as we examine some channels representation and their portraying of the events in the war .In The second chapter we tackles the role of Hollywood movies and novels in Iraq invasion. It focuses on the role of Hollywood movies and how did they deal with this topic, we choose an American movie based on novel’s story about an American sniper .Finally, we take into consideration the importance literary works in narrating the war, and how did the writers present their point of view to the world through their works and how the Iraq war is often one sided in which it distorts the true events that happened during the war. Moreover, we shed light on the ways of mass media, , Hollywood, and novels deal with the war’s issues and how did they depict it to shape public opinion.
