Abstract

Summary: To learn about medicinal plants and their traditional uses of medicinal plants by the inhabitants of the municipality of M'sila. Through ethnobotanical surveys (50) carried out at the neighborhood level of the commune affecting the different categories of the population to have (collect) as much information as possible on this subject. After analyzing the information received, it was counted 69 medicinal plants belonging to 24 families, the most represented are the Asteraceae with 12 species at a rate of 18%, the Lamiaceae with 12 species, a rate of 18%, the Apiaceae with 09 species, a rate of 14% and the Fabaceae with species, a rate of 8% .The results of this ethnobotanical study have shown that leaves and seeds are the most widely used part and that the most common uses are infusion and decoction with a rate of 42% and 29% respectively.
