Abstract
In this study, we examined the mechanisms adopted by the Algerian legislator to combat corruption, focusing on the criminal policy outlined in the Anti-Corruption and Prevention Law No. 06/01. This law aims to criminalize all forms of corruption while incorporating modern methods for investigating and detecting corrupt activities. Additionally, it provides for the establishment of specialized judicial bodies to prosecute offenders. Given that corruption has become a global phenomenon, the legislator emphasized the importance of enhancing international cooperation in combating corruption. Furthermore, specialized bodies were established to tackle corruption, along with efforts to improve existing traditional mechanisms.
