dc.description.abstractThe time dependent Schrödinger equation for The Hellmann potential is studied. This potential is not studied in the literatures. The Hellmann potential is a superposition of the Coulomb potential and the Yukawa potential. To obtain the energies spectrum and the wave functions we use a new method called Nikiforov–Uvarov-Functional Analysis method and the method of variables separa-tion by applying a Green-Aldrich approximation scheme to the centrifugal term. The wave function obtained is written as a Gauss hypergeometric function. The energy equation obtained was used to calculate the partition function from where the thermodynamic properties such as the mean en-ergy, free energy, entropy and specific heat capacity, are calculated.
