Concrete is made up of cement, water, aggregates, and sand. This material is polluting, because cement is made from clay and limestone, and aggregates and sand take millions of years to form. For this, cement plants add by-products from other fields to reduce the environmental impact, like blast furnace slag, fly ash, and silica fume. The use of natural materials affects the environment, for this, the researchers recommend the use of waste like recycled concrete or used tires. In this project, we have collected various works exposing the use of sanitary ceramics wastes and their effects on the properties of concrete. Our work is divided into three chapters plus an introduction and a general conclusion. The first chapter deals with the manufacture of ceramics and their types, and the second chapter deals with the different wastes used in civil engineering. The third chapter traces the various studies carried out on the valuation of sanitary ceramics as aggregate or sand in concrete.en_US
