Abstract
This dissertation addresses the protection of the child's right to
alimony and healthcare, which are among the most essential rights
for ensuring the child's physical and psychological well-being. It
focuses on the legal mechanisms adopted by Algerian law,
especially the Alimony Fund, as a solution when the father fails to
fulfil his alimony obligations, and on the child's right to medical
care under national and international legal frameworks. The study
concludes that Algerian law provides a solid legal basis, but its
effectiveness remains limited in practice, particularly regarding
access to the alimony fund and health services. The paper
recommends expanding the categories of beneficiaries and
enhancing real protection for children on the ground.
