In this research, we investigated the impact of material type and manufacturing technique on the mechanical properties of 3D printed parts to guide the most appropriate choice for engineering applications. We focused on two common materials in this field: ABS and ABS-like material, each used in different applications based on its physical and mechanical properties. To achieve this goal, we printed test samples using two different techniques: fused deposition modeling (FDM) for ABS and stereolithography (SLA) for ABS-like material, which relies on curing a photosensitive resin in thin layers. After preparing the samples according to the specified dimensions and standards, we performed mechanical tests, including tensile and bending, to analyze the material's response to various forces and understand the behavior of each material depending on the manufacturing method. This study demonstrated that the choice of printing technique and material type directly influences the final properties of the part, allowing us to guide the choice according to the application requirements, whether in terms of rigidity, ductility or precision.
