This study aims to shed light on the efficiency of using microfinance institutions in Algeria to develop small and medium enterprises, by identifying the reality of microfinance and its institutions in Algeria, highlighting the position that small and medium enterprises occupy in the economy and society, showing the most important obstacles facing microfinance institutions.
In order to achieve its objectives, it highlights government efforts aimed at developing the legal and institutional framework for small and medium enterprises and seeks to come up with recommendations in order to improve and raise the efficiency of microfinance institutions for the development of small and medium enterprises
