Item Open Access تحليل العوامل المؤثرة في الطلب على منتجات شركات التأمين الجزائرية - دراسة على عينة من شركات التأمين(University of M'Sila, 2024) بشيري حمزةThe insurance industry is imperative within the structure of the economic system that mainly affects the protection of other financial industries and the economy as a whole. In Algeria, the insurance sector is among the sectors that the state has paid attention to since independence. It has known many developments so far in parallel with the economic policy followed by the state and towards the world and the liberalization of trade in financial services. This latter is one of the most important changes that the sector has known is the issuance of Ordinance No 07-95, which allowed the opening of the market to competition، and the law، amended and supplemented by Law 06-04 of February 24, 2006. Despite the package of reforms that affected the Algerian insurance sector, it still suffers from underdevelopment, as official statistics and macroeconomic indicators for insurance indicate a weak contribution to the national economy، which amounted to 0.7% in 2023 compared to the global average of 07%, and the low per capita allocation for demand for insurance products estimated at $ 25.29 per year compared to the equivalent of $ 354 for personal insurance 499 for property insurance annually as a global average. This study aims to identify the macroeconomic factors affecting the demand for insurance products prevailing in the Algerian insurance market. The nature of the relationship between the growth rate of the insurance sector is represented in the rate of intensity with the selected economic factors، namely GDP, unemployment rate، inflation rate. These variables were selected based on previous studies, and based on the statistical and econometric economic study during the period 1980-1922 we reached the following results: First, selected economic factors (GDP، unemployment rate) and, to a lesser extent, inflation have a significant impact on increasing demand for the products of Algerian insurance companies. Secondly, the largest share of the insurance market in Algeria is due to property insurance, especially vehicle insurance and, to a lesser extent, personal insurance. Besides, there are other factors that affect the demand for insurance products, such as religious and cultural factors، in addition to the political and social orientation of the state. Lastly, takaful insurance is offered as an alternative to traditional insurance in light of the low contribution of the insurance sector to the GDP.
