dc.description.abstracthis study aimed to explore the theoretical framework that defines various concepts related to the application of electronic management in the higher education sector, as well as to understand its impact on improving performance in the sector in general. Therefore, the main question posed was: To what extent is electronic management applied in the higher education sector? For this purpose, the descriptive analytical method was used. The study concluded that the higher education sector has achieved a significant leap in transitioning to the application of electronic management. The public service provided to administrators, professors, and students has seen remarkable development by eliminating a large portion of the bureaucratic procedures that were previously entrenched in the era of traditional, paper-based management, in the context of what is called bringing the administration closer to the citizen.
