Abstract

Abstract This study investigates the racial injustice practiced on African Americans during the 20th and 21st century. It highlights an important issue which is police brutality against African Americans and how the death of George Floyd influenced people all over the world. Effectively, the important role that social media coverage played in transferring social media activism into on-the-ground action. It contributed in shaping the renewed attention and activism that George Floyd’s death inspired, and also raged protests around the world that responded to police violence and other forms of racial inequality during the COVID-19 pandemic. In fact, the current research is actually discussed through a descriptive method in order to portray the African American movements, and the effect of George Floyd’s death on the American life
