Abstract
تتناول هذه المذكرة موضوعًا من أبرز الموضوعات الراهنة في الفكر الإسلامي، وهو تجديد علم الكلام، خاصة في ظل التحولات الفكرية والدينية التي يعيشها العالم المعاصر. وتكمن أهمية هذا الموضوع في كونه يسعى إلى تجاوز النمط التقليدي السائد في علم الكلام، عبر الانفتاح على مقاصد الدين الإنسانية وتوسيع دائرة الاشتغال الكلامي لتشمل الأسئلة الوجودية، والأنثروبولوجية، والمعرفية. وتُسلّط الدراسة الضوء على مشروع عبد الجبار الرفاعي بوصفه نموذجًا معاصرًا لعالم يسعى إلى تحديث الخطاب الديني من داخل علم الكلام، وذلك من خلال الانتقال من الجدل العقدي الكلاسيكي إلى خطاب يتأسس على النزعة الإنسانية ويراعي واقع الإنسان المعاصر وتطلعاته. وقد اعتمدت الدراسة على المنهج التحليلي المقارن في تتبّع المفاهيم وتحليل النصوص الكلامية القديمة والحديثة، إضافة إلى المنهج النقدي عند الحاجة لتقييم بعض أطروحات الرفاعي. وقد توزعت فصول البحث بين دراسة تحولات علم الكلام ومناهجه ومدارسه، واستكشاف موقع علم الكلام الجديد ضمن هذا السياق، مع تخصيص فصل كامل لتحليل مشروع عبد الجبار الرفاعي من حيث خلفياته النظرية والمنهجية. وتهدف هذه الدراسة في مجملها إلى إبراز الحاجة الملحّة لتجديد علم الكلام، من خلال مقاربة عقلانية وتأويلية تُعيد للدين بعده الإنساني، وتسهم في تجاوز الانغلاق المذهبي والصراعات العقدية الجامدة.

Abstract
This thesis addresses one of the most pressing topics in contemporary Islamic thought: the renewal of Ilm al-Kalam (Islamic theology), particularly in light of the intellectual and religious transformations shaping the modern world. The importance of this subject lies in its effort to move beyond the traditional framework of classical Kalam, by opening up to the humanistic aims of religion and expanding theological discourse to engage with existential, anthropological, and epistemological questions,The study highlights the project of Abd al-Jabbar al-Rifa’i as a contemporary model of a scholar working to modernize religious discourse from within the domain of Kalam, transitioning from classical doctrinal debates toward a discourse rooted in humanism and attentive to the realities and aspirations of modern humanity.
The research adopts a comparative analytical method to trace key concepts and analyze theological texts—both classical and contemporary—alongside a critical approach when evaluating al-Rifa’i's arguments. The chapters of the study explore the transformations, methods, and schools of Kalam, situating the emergence of "New Kalam" within this context. A dedicated chapter analyzes al-Rifa’i's project, focusing on its theoretical and methodological foundations.
Ultimately, the study seeks to emphasize the urgent need for renewing Ilm al-Kalam through a rational and hermeneutical approach that restores the human dimension of religion and helps overcome sectarian rigidity and stagnant doctrinal conflicts.
