The goals of this work are the phytochemical screening of several secondary metabolites and the evaluation of the antibacterial activity of the methanolic extracts and aqueous extract of the leaves of Atriplex halimus L. Phytochemical screening revealed the presence of substances with high therapeutic values (flavonoids, tannins, polyphenols, coumarin, etc.). The antibacterial activity of the extracts is carried out by the diffusion method on agar medium on three bacterial strains : Staphylococcus aureus ATCC25923, Escherichia coli ATCC2592, Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATCC27853, The study shows that the extracts tested have no antibacterial activity against the bacteria tested, and based on ethnopharmacological survey about Atriplex halimus L in M’sila and it’s uses in Traditional medicine we found that it’s have a variety uses to treat numerous diseases mainly the kyst.en_US
