Abstract
Summary:
In conclusion of our study of the subject of the right of the disabled child to
health care in Algerian legislation, it is clear from the above that
this group, due to the specificity that distinguishes them from the rest of the groups
in society, and the special needs, problems, and biological, mental, psychological,
and social characteristics they carry, are in need of special health and medical care,
and Programs for reintegration and rehabilitation. The disabled child is considered
a normal person who has been afflicted by a disease or accident that has caused
him to lose some or most of his abilities. He has been afflicted with a disability or
deficiency in his body that has affected his ability to move or communicate with
others. This is for many reasons, some of which are hereditary and some of which
are genetic. It is acquired, and acquired disability is more common
Therefore, the state, bodies and associations must protect, care for and
rehabilitate him and solve the problems he faces, whether health or other, and this
is what the state has worked on, as it established exceptional centers and a national
office for artificial organs in order to treat and rehabilitate disabled children, and
this is after the disabled person declares the disability at the time it ap pears or is
discovered. Or his representative, who benefits from several privileges, including
a grant and financial aid.
However, this financial grant is insufficient despite its updated value, given
the high cost of living and the increasing rise in prices. It is considered insufficient
to meet the various needs of disabled children in general and those with multiple
disabilities in particular whose requirements and needs are multiplied by their
condition, in addition to free treatment, the right to psychological consultations,
and integration. And rehabilitation, but the legislator did not establish a sp ecial
law for disabled children to take into account the various aspects of their needs an
the protection assigned to them through it.
