| dc.description.abstract | يتبين من خلال دراسة الثورات المحلية في الجزائر خلال العهد العثماني عبر مقالات المجلة الإفريقية أنّ هذه الحركات لم تكن مجرد اضطرابات عابرة، بل مثلت تعبيرًا عن رفض سياسي واجتماعي لممارسات السلطة العثمانية، وعن طموحات محلية في الحفاظ على الاستقلالية والنفوذ. غير أن تناول المجلة لهذه الثورات جاء في إطار استشراقي واستعماري منحاز، هدف إلى إبراز صورة "الفوضى" و"الضعف" لتبرير الوجود الفرنسي في الجزائر. ومن هنا تبرز أهمية القراءة النقدية لهذه المصادر، التي تكشف في الوقت ذاته عن قيمة المعلومات التي تقدمها وعن حدودها المنهجية. وعليه، فإن إعادة دراسة هذه الثورات بالاعتماد على الأرشيف العثماني والمصادر المحلية تمثل خطوة ضرورية لفهم أعمق وأكثر موضوعية لتاريخ الجزائر في العهد العثماني. Through the study of local uprisings in Algeria during the Ottoman period as presented in the articles of La Revue Africaine, it becomes clear that these movements were not mere transient disturbances, but rather expressions of political and social resistance to Ottoman authority and of local aspirations to preserve autonomy and influence. However, the magazine’s treatment of these uprisings reflected an orientalist and colonial bias, aiming to portray an image of “chaos” and “weakness” in order to justify the French presence in Algeria. Hence, the importance of a critical reading of such sources lies in revealing both the value of the information they provide and their methodological limitations. Therefore, re-examining these uprisings based on Ottoman archives and local sources represents a necessary step toward a deeper and more objective understanding of Algeria’s history during the Ottoman era. | |
