Abstract

The current study aims to calculate the psychometric properties of the innovative thinking test among a sample of middle school students at Ben Amar Iguider Middle School in Bou Saada, and the extent of its agreement with the characteristics of a good test. To achieve the objectives of the current study, we used the descriptive analytical approach and applied the scale to a sample representing the research community that was randomly selected, numbering 100 students. To answer the study questions, many of the following statistical analyses were used: arithmetic mean, standard deviation, Pearson's correlation coefficient for the paragraphs with the total score of the test, test reliability coefficient (correction reliability, correctors reliability, test re-application), test validity coefficient to calculate (internal consistency validity, end-to-end comparison validity), and the following results were reached: The innovative thinking test maintains a high degree of validity, as indicated by the results of internal consistency validity and end-to-end comparison validity. It maintains a high degree of stability, as indicated by the indicators obtained from calculating the stability of corrections, correctors reliability, and test reapplication.
