dc.description.abstract: Economic crimes pose a significant threat to sustainable development and economic stability in modern societies. These crimes involve illegal activities aimed at gaining financial advantages through unlawful means, such as fraud, embezzlement, money laundering, tax evasion, and bribery. They arise from various factors including social injustice, technological advancements that facilitate complex criminal activities, administrative corruption, and weak legal frameworks. To address these challenges, new criminal policies have been developed to prevent and mitigate economic crimes and effectively punish offenders. These policies include strengthening existing legislation and introducing new laws to close legal loopholes, enhancing international cooperation through agreements and treaties that facilitate the exchange of information and expertise among countries. Additionally, they involve the use of modern technologies in investigation, monitoring, and detection of economic crimes. These policies have led to improved transparency in financial transactions, increased the number of investigated cases and successful prosecutions, thereby boosting confidence in the financial and legal systems. Despite ongoing challenges, the continuous development and effective implementation of these policies contribute to creating a safer and more stable economic environment, supporting sustainable development and protecting the rights of individuals and institutions.
