| dc.description.abstract | This study addresses the trajectory of the Palestinian cause from the Deal of the Century to the Al-Aqsa Flood of 2023. We initially addressed the precursors of the conflict and how it transformed from an Arab-Israeli conflict during the major wars into a Palestinian-Israeli conflict. The concept of the Palestinian cause emerged to emphasize the conflict's regional character as a result of the signing of peace agreements between Arab states and Israel. With the advent of US President Trump, a new project emerged to liquidate the Palestinian cause, recast it as a humanitarian problem, and strip it of its political character. Conversely, it accelerated the pace of Israel's integration into its regional environment by expanding the normalization policy to include other Arab states in what is known as the Abraham Accords. As a result of these developments aimed at eliminating the political rights of Palestinians and ending their cause, Palestinian resistance factions were forced to return to military confrontation with the Israeli occupation through Operation Flood of Al-Aqsa and the accompanying war of genocide against the Gaza Strip. This was in light of the local, regional, and global repercussions that brought the Palestinian cause back to the forefront of global attention. The study concluded that the future of the Palestinian cause will be determined by the outcome of the war in Gaza, considering that what is happening in Gaza is a war against the entire Palestinian people and not against the Hamas movement, as is being promoted in the media, in an attempt to liquidate its central cause and end the two-state solution project that has international acceptance and consensus, through the forced displacement of its population. The war of genocide and ethnic cleansing that Israel is pursuing in the Gaza Strip directly serves its strategy of displacement and the end of everything Palestinian. | |
