| dc.description.abstract | The foreign policy of a country must represent its internal moral character. Maintaining alliances with dictators and unfavorable regimes is therefore abhorrent to AmericanNeoconservatism. In this way, this thesis seeks to investigate the portrayal of Neoconservatism as an ideology that has a deep impact on the American foreign policy and reveals the role of neoconservatives in the invasion of Iraq. This study aims at showing the foundation and the principles of neoconservatism, its relation to the American foreign policy makers, and the war of Iraq 2003. Qualitative approach has been adopted along this work with historical dimension. This research would be very helpful for students of western foreign policy and for everyone who seeks the reality of the Iraq war. The findings of this paper confirmed that the theory of neoconservatism has a great influence on the US foreign policy through its different administrations. It assured that the Bush administration took its decision to invade Iraq in 2003 based upon neoconservatives’ assumptions. | en_US |
