Abstract

The world has witnessed significant developments in the field of technology, particularly in industry, the production of goods, and the provision of services, as well as tremendous advances in communications technology. Transactions have become increasingly prevalent via electronic media, particularly the internet. Electronic contracting has increased the risk of consumers being exposed to fraud, deception, and piracy, in addition to their inability to directly inspect the product. This has widened the knowledge gap between the consumer and the supplier. Therefore, consumer protection has become an urgent necessity at all stages of the electronic transaction process, from the negotiation stage to the implementation of the electronic contract.
