This study aims to shed light on an old and new phenomenon that appeared in a new guise to the world under the cover of the liberal capitalist system, namely the free zones, and also to show one of the most important goals of its establishment. In order to achieve the aim of the study, the concept of free zones and their importance, and their most important characteristics and types were reviewed, and the extent of the free zones’impact on foreign trade was examined through its most important objectives and theories After that, the free zones in the Arab countries and their relationship with the Greater Arab Free Trade Area were discussed. The study concluded that free zones are a very old concept, and it was known due to the development of international trade and economic activities, and it is now forming an industry in itself in light of the tremendous global economic progress ، Free zones were established on the basis of the philosophy of increasing economic openness and stimulating trade and capital between Countries of the world | en_US |
