Abstract
تعالج هذه الدراسة أحد القضايا الهامة والحيوية ذات الطابع العالمي والتي تحظى بالاهتمام، تيجةتنامي أخطارها السلبية على الانسان والكائنات الحية بصفة عامة. حيث خصصت إشكالية الدراسة كالآتي:
فيما تتجلى جهود منظمة الأم المتحدة في حماية البيئة؟ ومن خلال تحليل فصول الدراسة يتضح أنالقضايا البيئية تتسم بالتعقيد وتشكل خطر مستقبلي يهدد الكرة الأرضية إضافة الى ذلك تهدد أمن واستقراركافة الدول. كما تستدعي تظافر الجهود الدولية لتطوير استراتيجيات مشتركة من أجل حمايتها تحت مظلةمنظمة الأمم المتحدة التي سعت الى عقد عدت مؤتمرات العالمية تنوعت مضامينها الا أنها هدفت بصفةعامة الى اتخاذ التدابير اللازمة للتصدي للأخطار البيئية ومساعدة الدول النامية على التكيف مع الأخطارالبيئية الجديدة. كما توضح في الدراسة أنه على الرغم من الجهود التي بذلتها منظمة الأمم المتحدة للبيئةإلا أنها واجهت تحديات عديدة: كعدم التزام الدول الصناعية بتقديم المساعدات المالية للدول النامية وافتقادهاعنصر إلزامية القرارات. وكذا تملص العديد من الدول من القرارات كونها تتعارض مع تحقيق مصالحها.

Abstract
The present conduct addresses one of the significant and vital issues of the globalconcern owing to its steadily negative growth to the humans and to the living organisms ingeneral. The core question of the present research work is stated as follow: What are the effortsof the United Nations Organization in protecting the environment? Taking the analysis ofchapters, it could be easily noticed that environmental issues are complex and are a future threatto the planet and to the security and stability of countries. In fact, the international efforts havesought to develop effective and joint strategies for protection under the umbrella of the UnitedNations, which sought to hold world conferences aimed at taking measures to address theenvironmental threats, and help developing countries to adapt to the new environmental threats.
As the study shows, despite the efforts of the UN, still it has faced various challenges, such asthe lack of commitment of industrialized countries to provide financial assistance to developingcountries; lack of mandatory decision-making; and the evasion of many countries from thedecisions because they are incompatible with the realization of their interests.
