Abstract
The present study examines the impact of Trump’s socio-economic legislative policies on Afro-Americans. More particularly, the legislative process implemented by his administration opened up a set of critical questions vis a vis the status of blacks in America during Trump’s presidency. This research is significant in the sense it sheds light on the numerous social and economic obstacles that African Americans faced, and are still facing. These difficulties range from their exclusion from public services to the suffering that emanates from economic stagnation resulting in the black’s discontent with these legislative procedures. Put under a descriptive analytical method and a socio-economic approach, the dissertation endeavors to assess critically the effect of Trump’s social and economic plan on the lives of Afro-Americans. Finally, the major results reveal that Trump’s socio-economic plans did not promote the welfare of African Americans, creating an inequality gap in areas of education, health care, housing, employment, banking system and taxation. In other words, the blacks’ disillusionment with Trump’s socio-economic policies gave the rise to social movements throughout America.
