Abstract: The principle of criminal legality is the limitation of offences and sanctions in the texts of written law, by identifying acts that are considered offences and penalties prescribed for them, which is one of the most important legal systems under the rules of criminal law. In international criminal law, the source of custom and international conventions, both of which are the most important safeguards for the protection of individual and social rights and freedoms, through which individuals can know the prohibited acts and the sanctions prescribed for them.
