dc.description.abstractIn the last decades. journalists have repeatedly been the victims of aggressions against their actions on the ground during international and non-international armed conflicts. This threat to their lives has raised the necessity of guaranteeing their protection. Indeed. their protection must be guaranteed in order to ensure the process of truths transfer would not be obstructed. The study of the protection of journalists requires first studying the legal status relevant to journalists also clarifying the categories of journalists. and then the stages of development of the protection of journalists in the international humanitarian law. The legal protection of journalists includes two categories of rules: the common protection prevailine in international humanitarian law which concerns the protection of any civilians all time in one hand. and the particular rules applied specifically to the protection of journalists. Besides the analysis will shed light on the international responsibility for wrongful acts against journalists and the press office.
