Abstract

Abstract The present study adopted an explanatory research design because it is concerned with the exploration of the effectiveness of e-teaching and e-learning to the process of EFL learning amidst COVID-19 pandemic, the case of master one English language students at Mohamed Boudiaf University, M’sila. The aim of the current study is to explore teachers and students’ attitudes toward e-learning and e-teaching, and to measure the effectiveness of using e-learning as an alternative to face-to-face classrooms. In addition, to investigate the use of e-learning, and to explore the current state of e-learning method in the department of English at Mohamed Boudiaf University -M’sila-. Data is gathered through using two questionnaires, which were administered to 57 master one English language students and to 12 teachers. The main results showed that master one English language students have positive attitudes toward the use of e-learning during COVID-19 pandemic, and they are also eager to use it after the pandemic is over. Moreover, teachers are for the use of e-teaching and see it as effective learning/teaching method in all aspects of language learning. Based on the findings, pedagogical recommendations are suggested for both teachers, students, and policy makers.
