To provide the student of the discipline with the necessary elements to address problems of solid mechanics. 2. To support and contribute to the efforts of teaching this discipline (CM) by providing the student with a rigorous and practical document. 3. To present to the students, this discipline as well as its capacities and its limits so that they enrich their culture in the field. This manuscript is divided into seven chapters: The first was devoted to a reminder of mathematics including the basic tools necessary for the development of the different concepts of CM. The second chapter we presented the concept of continuum mechanics and Lagrangian and Eulerian descriptions. The stress analysis is devoted to the third chapter. We also presented in the fourth chapter the theory of deformations. The basic equations of the kinematics of continuous media are discussed in the fifth chapter. To conclude, the sixth chapter presents the relationship between stresses and deformations and the fundamental concepts of the behavior laws for an elastic continuous medium. Some applications in solid mechanics are solved in the seventh chapter. In the last chapter we discuss the failure criteria applied in continuum mechanics.Item Open Access Lecture notes on probability and statistics(MOHAMED BOUDIAF UNIVERSITY OF M'SIIA, 2025-04-29) KHEIREDDINE BOUGUERRAThis document serves as a valuable resource for engineering students seeking to gain a deep understanding of fundamental concepts in probability and statistics. It covers statistical series for both one and two variables, enabling rigorous data analysis and interpretation. The first part focuses on one-variable statistical series, emphasizing central tendency indicators (mean, median, mode) and dispersion measures (variance, standard deviation). The second part addresses two-variable statistical series, introducing key concepts such as covariance and correlation, which are essential for establishing relationships between different quantities. Furthermore, the document explores probability theory in a finite framework, providing students with the necessary tools to quantify uncertainty and model random phenomena. Concepts such as conditional probabilities and event independence are also developed. Finally, special attention is given to random variables, whether discrete or continuous, as well as their associated probability distributions, including the binomial, Poisson, and normal distributions. Through this pedagogical approach, engineering students acquire the foundational knowledge needed to model and analyze complex phenomena while developing a strong mathematical intuition.Item Open Access Sensors and Measurements Dedicated to Renewable Energy System(MOHAMED BOUDIAF UNIVERSITY OF M'SILA, 2025-01-29) Dr. ZEMMIT Abderrahimhe objective of this course is to provide students with general knowledge of metrology as applied to renewable energy (RE) systems, with a particular focus on photovoltaic (PV), wind, and fuel cell (FC) technologies. The course aims to familiarize students with various types of physical quantities relevant to these systems, including meteorological, electrical, and energy parameters. This process is cost-effective and ensures excellent performance through the proper organization of operations, skilled labor, machine tools, and equipment. It offers precise tolerances essential in industries like aerospace, automotive, and tool manufacturing. Additionally, it supports a wide range of materials, including metals, plastics, composites, and ceramics, making it versatile across industries. Material removal machining is also valuable for repairing and refurbishing worn or damaged parts, extending their lifespan and reducing resource waste. This process remains a cornerstone of modern manufacturing, combining precision, adaptability, and efficiency. The handout "Mechanical Manufacturing," designed for second-year Mechanical Engineering students specializing in Mechanical Construction, introduces machining techniques with an emphasis on mechanical product manufacturing. Written in a simplified style with examples, it helps students grasp theoretical concepts and their industrial applications. The paper is divided into two parts: Metal Cutting Theory which covers cutting materials, cutting tool geometry, chip formation, cutting forces, tool heating and wear and selection of cutting parameters. The second part is Machine Tool Technology, it focuses on cutting motions, main components and kinematic chains of various machine tools.Item Open Access Modélisation et identification des systèmes(University of msila, 2023-05-28) Dr. HERIZI AbdelghafourItem Open Access Techniques d'identification(University of M'sila, 2024-12-03) HERIZI AbdelghafourItem Open Access Commande Hydraulique et Pneumatique(University of M'sila, 2023-11-19) Dr Abdelhak ABDOUItem Open Access Mass and Heat Transfer(University of M'sila, 2024-12-15) BAKHTI Fatima zohraHeat and mass transfer are fundamental subjects that underpin many engineering and scientific applications.
