Abstract

Abstract This dissertation aims to provide a historical background on the actual reasons that led President Donald Trump not to be inaugurated for a second term and losing the 2020 elections. The purpose of this study is to focus on comparing the 2016 elections that Trump won with the 2020 elections to highlight the important role of the media in Trump’s tenure. It had a role in his success, and after 4 years, it is negative coverage and their conflicts through Tweeter contributed to his loss. Besides, this study examines the extent to which Trump is committed to his Promises and their impact on his credibility during his presidency, especially with the outbreak of the Corona virus and the deterioration of the country's conditions. Accordingly, this dissertation addresses several questions to find out what led to this horrible loss for Trump, the most important of which is how the media contributed to revealing false promises about the prosperity of the economy during the period of the outbreak of the Corona virus. The results showed that the media, especially the left-wing channels, revealed that Trump did not fulfill all the promises he made, especially in the economic field and to eliminate the virus in a short term. On the contrary, the number of deaths rose terribly and the economic situation deteriorated, which is the only trump wining card, in addition to his favorite channel The Fox News that dumped him has ended up outside the mainstream.
