dc.description.abstractForest fires are among the most dangerous environmental phenomena affecting ecosystems and biodiversity, especially in Algeria, where their intensity increases due to climatic and human factors. This study aims to develop a mobile application for mapping forest fire risks in Algeria using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), with the goal of identifying high-risk areas and analyzing the factors influencing their spread. The application integrates and analyzes various data, primarily climate factors such as temperature and humidity, as well as population density, allowing for the creation of interactive maps that accurately display risk levels. This approach helps decision-makers and relevant authorities improve prevention strategies and resource management effectively, thereby reducing the losses caused by wildfires. The study results showed that combining GISandAHPprovides a precise and effective tool for assessing forest fire risks. Spatial geographic analysis enables the prioritization of interventions and directs efforts towards the most threatened areas. This application proves to be a valuable tool in supporting planning and decision-making processes, making it an essential asset for environmental risk management and forest protection in Algeria.
